We have now completed the development and testing of the new Q Pod XL.
This is much stronger than the Q Pod S and Q Pod L, and it is still compact when stowed for easy transportation.
All clamping points have two fixings that lock all sliding parts securely in position with 2X bolts. It is constructed from solid steel sections, and we’ve added 6X leg retaining tensionable guys to lock all three outer legs together and lock the centre leg. This still allows total leg adjustment for deployment on sloping ground or use on the hard standing floor when anchoring the feet is impossible.
This new tripod complements our existing range and fills the gap between the Q Pod L and the field kit tripod.
It is suitable for all masts in the 152mm diameter range and some in the 200mm, and 250mm ranges.
There are three weight bag hanging points for added stability. All of our tripods are zinc plated and are now also powder coated for extra protection.
Silver is our standard colour, however, other colours are available upon request.
