MICRO – SWITCH

The function of the micro switch is to signal when the mast is extended. The customer can connect it to visual or audio signal inside the cabin, in order not to drive with a still extended mast. Furthermore the automatic restore function can also be connected to the hand break system, so that by releasing the hand brake, the mast will return automatically to the “home“ position.

ELECTROVALVES GROUP

The Solenoid Valve Unit is used to ensure the electronic extension and retraction of the mast. It is made from anodized aluminium and it works from 12 V DC to 230AC, so it is very adaptable. Furthermore it can be easily remoted to another position.

The Solenoid Valve unit can be placed in two different positions, depending on the costumers’ needs: with the coils one opposite to the other or, for a more space-saving configuration, with the coils positioned parallel.

Twin Cylinder Air Compressor

• (1) This robust oilless twin cylinder 12 volt – 30 amp compressor delivers an impressive 73ltr/m airflow, has a thermostat overload protector and is suitable for masts up to 152mm (or 6”) diameter. It comes with an 8-metre quick-release coiled air pipe with a pressure gauge/regulator and air outtake valve for mast retraction. STAND PUMP

INTEGRAL LAPTOP TRAY

These can be attached to any of our mast systems and are quick release. The laptop tray is formed from robust stainless steel and acts as a platform for your equipment. When ordering this with a Q Pod please let us know as a special bracket will be required.

The QPod S version fits into the mast adaptor bracket.

The QPod L version features a sliding bracket that fits any of the 3 legs to position the tray in a comfortable viewing position for the user.

ROBUST WEIGHT BAGS

Generally, masts only need top section guys but for taller masts a 2nd or in some cases a 3rd set may be required.

MAST LUBRICANT KIT

Comprising of 2 types of lubricant. One is a specifically formulated grease to lubricate all internal parts of the mast when servicing. The other is a restoration lubricant, formulated by TMS to provide a simple solution to re-grease the inside surfaces of an aluminium pneumatic telescopic mast without having to return it to the manufacturer or fully dismantle the mast.

The restoration lubricant’s unique chemical composition means that it can be used on almost any mast including those with natural rubber air seals, as well as our masts which use synthetic rubber air seals.

It is a cost-effective remedy to rejuvenate your mast.

Available in 1 metre or 1.5 metre lengths and enables you to gain that extra height, fabricated from strong stainless steel.

2. ANTENNA ADAPTORS

We stock a range of quick release adaptors to fi x your equipment, such as antennas and Wifi boosters. They are made from strong stainless steel and the standard protruding length is 300mm but special sizes can rapidly be produced – a simple drawing is required.

We recommend using a rotating guying eye adaptor with antenna adapters to allow you to rotate the mast for directional antennas whilst the guys remain static.

SPECIAL MAST HEAD ADAPTERS

Our fabrications team can rapidly produce custom made adapters for numerous types of specialist equipment. These are usually made from strong stainless steel. We can also manufacture adapters for multiple devices. Intermediate adapters can be attached on to the collars of a mast if required.

1. 3D laser scanner adapters

We fabricate mast adapters for FARO, LEICA and all other laser scanners. Strong stainless steel.

2. Yaesu rotator bracket.

LATERAL EXTENDER

This allows a camera or other device to be mounted 3 metres away from the centre of the mast. It is telescopic and produced from strong yet lightweight stainless steel and has two mounting positions for horizontal or vertical mounting. This has many applications but is mainly used for roof inspections to look behind parapet walls and chimneys etc. One tension able guy rope is used on the opposite end to the camera to create stability and counterbalance force.

MAST HEAD COVER WITH HAND PUMP COVER

Available for all masts, numerous sizes are available. It is used to protect the mast’s top sections when the mast
is retracted and not in use, or when the mast is being transported on vehicles either vertically or horizontally.

A pump cover for the integral hand pump is available.

ANTI INGRESS / FROST / DUST PROTECTION SLEEVE

These can be used to protect the extended mast sections from rainwater/saltwater entering the mast tubes or to stop the build-up of ice on tubes and collars also to protect against dust/sand in desert conditions. Available for all diameter masts.

They come in 2m, 3.5m and 5m lengths to allow fitting to differing tube lengths and to allow guying where required. The different lengths can be easily identified by drawstring clamps:
Blue = 2m Black = 3.5m Yellow = 5m

Advisory note – Please be aware that these sleeves add to sideloading (windage) and we advise that further guys may be necessary. Please contact our sales team for more advice.

An ingress sleeve mast head adapter is available to form a watertight seal at the top of the mast.

STANDARD PAN & TILT UNIT

This unit will achieve ultra smooth, accurate horizontal and vertical panning. It weighs 0.8kg and can hold up to 2.7kg. AC/DC operation. Commonly used for photography and video applications. A weatherproof cover is available as an additional item. 2 other items that should be ordered with this device are the camera ball head and a mast to pan and tilt adaptor.

Manual pan and tilt unit available soon…This requires no power or weather proofing, a grab handle on the base or first tube of the mast allows rapid rotation and controls the tilt angle using an adjustable spring loaded cable assembly.

UPGRADE BALL HEAD

Engineered to perfection, with quick release plate for rapid removal of cameras or other equipment, integral spirit level, super strong clamps for heavier cameras, plate has 1/4 inch whitworth male thread, base has 3/8 inch female and comes with reducer insert for 1/4 inch.

SAND SCRAPER RINGS

These are a useful accessory when the past is to be used in dusty and sandy locations such as construction sites and deserts. This helps to stop dust and grit entering the mast and is available for all portable mast diameters.

PIVOTING MAST BASE ADAPTOR ASSEMBLY

Made from robust steel, this base allows you to pivot the past 90 degrees which makes the alteration of head loads very simple. They are available for all diameter portable pneumatic masts. The base plate can be bolted down or by way of round ground stakes on soft ground.

GUARDIAN

The guardian is a multi-sensor electronic device that can be mounted to the mast and consists of 2 parts. The detection device which is mounted on the top of the mast and the PLC unit with the alarm display. If there is a change in the weather the system alerts you immediately and overrides the operation.

NYCOIL SPIRALED CABLE SLEEVES

Nycoil Spiraled Cable Sleeves are available for all diameter masts. These are useful to neatly contain cables on masts where it is not possible to install internal cables. They are available in numerous diameters and fittings and can be ordered to form watertight junctions at the top and bottom of the coil.

HAND PUMP BRACKET

Useful when you don’t want the hand pump fitted to the mast. It also allows the hand pump to be mounted in a remote location many metres away from the mast if required. It has an air outtake valve so the mast can be extended and retracted remotely and also a non return air valve comes as standard.

PIVOTING MAST MOUNTING ASSEMBLY

This item is useful for easily laying down and raising the mast to vertical. It is constructed from a strong 10mm thick steel plate with a strong hinge that will allow 210 degree hinge movement. These are available for all mast diameters. This item should be ordered with our super strong field kit tripod. The 4 x 13mmØ holes in each corner of the base plate can be either used to bolt into position on hard ground or ground stakes can be used on soft ground.

COLLAR CLAMP LOCK SET

These items enable you to securely lock the bottom 2 collar clamps to stop tampering or potential theft of the mast or its head load. They are constructed from strong powder-coated steel and come with long shackle padlocks. They are compatible with all bottom 2 clamps on the 66mm, 80mm and 101mm diameter masts. These are sold as a pair.

MAST ROTATION HANDLE

This item works with all portable pneumatic masts. It has a strong fully adjustable rubber tube grab band that does not damage the tube and will still work on greasy surfaces. This can be used to rotate directional antennas and cameras etc. It works in one rotation direction but if 2-way rotation is required a second rotation handle can be used.

SPECIAL ANTENNA ADAPTORS

This is an example of a T bar antenna adaptor for the UK military. These are used to separate 2 antennas to stop potential signal interference. This particular adaptor is 1.5 metres long and has guying points at each end and centrally. It weighs only 1.7kg and was designed, fabricated , painted and dispatched within 2 days from order.

INTERMEDIATE GUYING / EQUIPMENT MOUNTING CLAMP

Available in sizes to fit all masts, they can be used to mount equipment at any height on the mast and alternative equipment mounting plates can be made to suit your requirements. They can also be used as an extra guying clamp and are adjustable to suit any tube size with rubber protection inner to protect tubes from damage. Do not overtighten clamps as damage to tubes may occur.

SUPER STRONG GUYING PICKET

Fabricated from 70mm x 70mm x 8mm steel with 3 x guying points. They can be supplied painted as standard or galvanised. They can come with a quick release guying winch with 2 winching speeds and a 2 way ratchet. Available with 3 strand polyester pre stretched rope or 2, 3 and 4mm stainless steel guys. The winch handle can be removed for safety and anti tamper purposes. Standard winch capacity 2000lbs and weight 3kg. The overall picket length is 1.150m and weighs 7.5kg. Other sizes are available upon request. We have now included a picket removal slot on the super strong picket to make removal easy. Please remember to order this separately.

INTERMEDIATE COLLAR MOUNTING ADAPTORS

This allows installation of equipment on any of the collars as well as on the top of the mast. They are commonly used to separate radio transmitters and receivers to avoid signal interference. Another common use is for mounting PIR motion detection or loudhailers for site security applications.

GUYING ANCHOR PLATE

QPOD LEG WHEEL SET

ROOF MOUNTING BEARING

These are available for all diameter masts. They come in 2 halves and bolt together to make installation easy. All masts are supplied with a rubber sealing gasket that simply slides down to the bracket to create a watertight seal. Silicone mastic can be used underneath and around the edges. They come with a PTFE slip-ring that holds the mast firmly but allows for full rotation of the mast if required. Sizes and weight depend on the diameter of the mast chosen.

Retro-fit Quick Release Pin Head Adaptor

These can be used on masts with the fixed type masthead. They allow rapid installation/removal of head load devices. They have a 24mm diameter female socket x 80mm deep. L: 100mm W: 100mm H: 80mm Weight 0.85Kg

FLEXIBLE TAPE MEASURE

LOWER MAST MOUNTING BRACKETS

Strong steel construction and are available for all diameter masts. Multiple pre-drilled mast base positions allow you the choice of mast orientation. There are also pre-drilled wall fixing holes on the back plate. The size and weight depends on the mast type. Drawings with dimensions are available.

STANDARD UPPER AND LOWER MOUNTING CLAMPS

1&3. Shows the lower mounting assembly with 8mm diameter male thread and quick release clamps. 2. Shows the lower mounting assembly with a built-in hand pump clamp. 4. Shows the upper mounting assembly with a 10mm diameter male thread (101mm mast only) for 66mm and 80mm diameter. They come with an 8mm male thread that fits the pre-drilled and tapped 8mm hole in the base of the portable masts. There are fixed and quick release versions of these clamps. NB: remember to order an upper mounting clamp when mounting on a QPOD.

KEYED MAST UPPER MOUNTING CLAMPS

These are available for all diameter keyed masts. Reinforced versions (for wider clamp bodies) are available for larger masts. All of the upper mounting clamps come with PTFE slip rings that hold the mast firmly but allow for mast rotation. The weight and size depending on the mast chosen.
