We are working closely with the Institute of biological, environmental and rural science at the university of Aberystwyth to develop a new mast system that can be transported into extremely remote forestry. It can also be deployed on very steep hillsides. Part of the development will be to design a method of gathering leaf samples from tree canopy’s at 20 meters. The samples are then analysed to create a overall picture of the health of trees and the effects caused by diseases such as ash dieback. Photographs will be uploaded to our special projects photo gallery when design and fabrication is complete.
The Argo 8 x8 amphibious vehicle was used to transport mast to very remote locations at Aberystwyth Universities.
